Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Would you consider plastic surgery?

If money was not an issue, would you consider going under the knife? I'm thinking... after Oct 2010 (when the twins turn one), if my belly doesn't get back to relatively "normal" after all this working out, I might just get it done...as well as my boobs.

I know this is an incredibly selfish & shallow post. Still... thinking about it.

Would you do it?

Re: Would you consider plastic surgery?

  • Yes I would have lipo and a boob job.  One can dream.

  • I would totally do it. I already made my husband promise that when we're done having kids (we want 4) he will let me get everything "put back" provided we have the funds. I don't think its selfish..you have to do what makes you feel good about yourself.

  • Yep.  Without a doubt.

  • Yep. When I'm done having kids I'm getting a breast reduction.

  • If I could afford it, I would think about it after I'm done having kids. We are planning on more though so I wouldn't do it before.

This exactly!  We want 4 too and after the fourth I will be getting a breast reduction and lift, tummy tuck and hopefully a little laser surgery for these HORRIBLE stretch marks.  I honestly can't wait

  • No.  I'm happy with the way I look.  The only thing I've struggled with looks wise is my height.  Plastic surgery can't make me taller!

I used to think I wanted bigger boobs, but pregnancy/nursing showed me that I actually really love my smaller boobs.

  • My sister did lipo and a boob job and I took care of her afterwards.  It was really gnarly.  To make it worse she actually gained weight during her recovery and the fat seemed to go from thighs to belly. And the boobs look SOOO fake.  Made me think it wouldn't be worth it.

Now had I gotten the infamous "twin skin" I would consider a tummy tuck.

  • Absolutely, I want to feel good about myself and rightly or wrongly so, I tie a lot of that to looks/body. If my stomach doesnt tighten up with diet and exercise, I'll get a tuck after we're done with kids and if my boobs are totally saggy after BF'ing, I'll get a lift :)

  • Yes! I have actually started looking up info on getting a boob job.

I just feel like my boobs look deflated, if that makes sense. And Im still breastfeeding and they have already gone back to pre-pregnancy size. I have lost alot of weight (about 25lbs) since having my DD and now Im worried that if I stop breastfeeding I will get even smaller!!

  • With these horrendous stretchies that don't seem to be fading anytime soon, at least laser surgery is in my future. Possibly more if we have money.

  • Before I had DS?  No.

Now?  Absolutely.  DH has already promised me laser treatments for my stretchmarks (I have them all over my thighs, none really on my belly or boobs, weird...) after we finish have babies.

This exactly.  I told DH that it was happening so he'd better start saving.

I wouldn't put fake stuff into my body (like boob jobs or getting your lips done), but I am aaaaaaaaall for a little lift and tuck here and there ;)

  • I already have, well back in 2007,  I had a breast reduction.  Best thing I ever did.  And when I'm done having babies ( at least one more) I will consider lipo, stretch mark treatments, ect

  • Totally. I want a boob job. I've never liked them and now that I've had a baby I'm even more self conscious. DH says he'll let me get a boob job as long as we can pay cash for it and it doesn't affect us providing for our children (obviously).
  • F*ck yes.   I see nothing wrong with putting things back where they belong.

What is twin skin??? I am wondering if I have it! lol! I have a few stretch marks, but that is it...?

I would never get implants because they have to be redone every 10 years. Not worth it!!! I would get a lift though

  • I would consider it after we are done having kids.  If it makes you feel good, I say do it!

  • If I can stay at my goal weight for 3 years and I still have a bunch of excess skin then I will start saving for a tummy tuck.

  • Most definitely! I'm looking into a breast lift and tummy tuck myself, so I'm all for it. After my first I would have said no...my body wasn't all that banged up and I actually liked my boobs better post-birth. This time, however, it's a must...my body has never looked worse.

This I can really handle the rest of it but the SM drive me to depression.

  • I'm definitely undecided. After watching Nip/Tuck, it definitely scares me a little. But if there were no repercussions, I would totally do it.

  • Definitely! Once I'm done having kids if I can't get back into shape I will get lipo done 100%. Call it selfish or shallow...I wanna look good!

  • Yes. I would like a boob job. But only after I'm done having kids.
