my neighbors (our friends) had their little girl 2 weeks before. She is always asking me and my husband our opinion about this or that, she never takes our advice and does a laundry list of things I can't stand. This is also her second kid.
Schedules a c-section to make cut off date for Kindergarten.
microwaves the bottles
CIO at 3 weeks
solids stage 1 and 2 at 3 months old.
won't clean her neck or eyes (becaue "she cries when I do it") the kid smells like a butthole.
No hat when bringing her outside. WE LIVE IN MICHIGAN
Leaves her with me or her mother at least 4 times a week ( starting at 3 weeks) just to get out. Her and husband both work from home.
Buys different brands of formula constantly
I can't think of any more right now but I had to just get that out of my system. I can't tell her what to do its not my kid. She always says she wants to be a mom like me but NEVER follows anything I do. I almost wish I didn't know them.

What a wonderful mother...
I would never want to schedule a c-section to make the cut-off date (that's just stupid). And all of those things are just horiific.
I had a friend like that once. I told her politely that I was happy to listen to her but I wasn't going to give her advice anymore because it was a waste of my time. She never did what I recommended, either.
That poor child.
I would feel the exact same way! I am a new mom and would not even think of doing those things.
poor little thing! i hope she ends up strong and sassy, mother be damned.
on a side note, LOL at "smells like a butthole". the phrase, not the fact.
