This may be a silly question, but it's something I've thought about a lot...

When you are PG, is it ever a total mind trip to look down and see your belly when you're taking a shower or getting dressed, etc?

I've always thought for me, the weirdest thing about pregnancy would be that. Took look down and see this belly there. Then I also thought maybe since the belly is always growing, it's not so freaky, & it becomes normal?

Just wondering.

    I think it is more weird that the beast is growing because something is actually living inside of me.  That, my friend, is just weird.  And the more I think about it, the more it creeps me out.

    I can't even get into that part! The whole, living-inside-of-me thing doesn't freak me out nearly as much as it used to though, thankfully. It used to freak me out so much. I would have friends & cousins who were pg and would be like "Oh, do you want to feel the baby move?" I would practically run away in terror. lol. So then of course they would ask me more often and try to trick me into it, hahaha.

    I agree with Ashley.  I am used to it now, but it did totally weird me out that there is a human growing inside my belly.  I actually love the belly itself, because I love my little girl Smile  But it did take a while to get used to.

    The thing with that is you see it growing everyday  so its not as weird to see a big 'ol belly there. By the end when I was enormous, it was hard to even remember my stomach before! haha

    Definitely agree with the thought of something living and growing inside you...awesome but weird!

    This is exactly what I was going to say.  It's happening gradually so it's less shocking.

     This, and the fact that I have yet to feel the baby move, I sometimes dont believe it is really there.

    But I always had a tummy, so it wasn't a shock.  I am just waiting till it looks more like I am pregnant not fat.

    The weird thing for me right now is that I can't see the number on my scale anymore.  Every day I look down and then remember that it's just belly there now... haha

    Yes, it is strange.  It doesn't happen as often now, but there are times when I'll be doing someting and forget that I have a big belly that will get in the way.  For example, I tried to squeeze behind someone's chair at a restaurant the other night and then realized I wouldn't fit!  How embarrassing!  And, knowing that there is a living being inside of me does freak me out as well!
