Babies: 9 - 12 Months

for those with more than one child..I have a theory!!! let me know!

Ok, so i know this is silly but i was thinking that all of my friends that have more than one child less than 3 years apart, its either all girls or all boys! For my friends that have more than one that are a few years apart, its a girl and a boy or boy and girl!!! I have decided that the longer you wait to have another one, the better chances of having a different sex. HAHA!!! my husband says im very wrong!!! haha! hes no fun!

  • lol This is redic but I gotta agree haha. My mom babysits for a family of 4 boys. They are all 3(ish) years apart. The youngest is 4, the oldest is almost 13.

  • DS and DD are 7 years apart. However my sister and oldest brother are 11 months apart. My second brother came along 6 years later and my self 5 years after him. So I think you have a fastinating theory and it makes me want to have another baby sooner(really want another girl) but I don't think thats always the case.

  • Mine are 23 months apart.  One boy, one girl.
  • Not true for me! 28 months apart.

ETA: My brother and I are also 16 months apart.

  • Mine are 10 years apart and both girls, so I definitely don't fit that theory LOL.

  • hmmm.... im starting to think that my theory kinda sux! haha
  • 27 months apart.  One girl, one boy.

I think you just have a skewed sample in your life. :-)

  • I have all girls....oldest 2 are 2 years and 2 weeks apart (their due dates were just 1 day apart), and my youngest is just under 5 years younger than my second daughter.
  • That theory works for my kids.  My first 2 are 21 months apart and are girls. There is a 4 year gap between #2 and #3 and he's a boy.

My sister has 3 and they're all 2 years apart and they're all girls.

I'm one of 3 girls with a 2 and 5 year age gap so it doesn't hold true for me.
