Poll: wash packed away clothes for #2, or they're fine?

Just curious on everyone's thoughts on to wash or not to wash packed away clothes. My DD turns 2 soon and I am expecting #2 later this year, my question is would you (or did you) re-wash the packed away clothes from DC1 for DC2 or did you figure since they were clean when you packed them they're still clean?

I am leaning more towards re-washing so the clothes (etc) are 'fresh'.

WWYD?

  • I'd freshen them up.

  • newborn clothes i would rewash - but after that - i would just use them as is - knowing i put them away clean and they were in a good container.  I don't have time to wash huge amounts of clothing every time i bring down a new size from the attic - it's all clean - I see no need to waste time/energy/money washing again.
  • I've been pulling clothes out for DD2 - I haven't rewashed anything.
  • Mine are in a tote in the basement that is currently being finished. So, it's really dusty down there and I plan on rewashing AT LEAST infant clothing. My DS also has really bad excema and skin issues so I want to play it safe with DS #2.

  • I'm rewashing everything.

I found a couple things that I packed that are a little stained so I 'm going to soak them in Oxy-Clean and see if it will still remove the stains.

  • I would rewash the newborn stuff at least.

Previously unseen stains can develop while they are in storage.
