Friends LO hasn't "pooped" since Wednesday!

Hi- I'm looking for any suggestions from mothers who might have had similar problems, I have a girlfriend whose LO is miserable and hasn't pooped since last week!!! She took her to the Dr. and they suggested applejuice or prune juice...is there anything else she could give the baby at 2months old??? I've heard Myralax is wonderful BUT I told her definately get the Dr.'s ok for that age- any suggestions?

    My ped. suggested glycerin suppositories at that age.

    Did she try the juice? apple juice worked great for ds' constipation (his was just a bit hard though).  I just put a tablespoon into one of his bottles.

    Pear juice has done wonders for DD.

    My friend's DD never poops, like once or twice a week. They mix apple/prune juice in her formula. If it lasts a week they use a suppository. Poor kid. HTH!

    I feel your pain...DD has had horrible problems sine she was a month old. She's gone 9 days w/o pooping and it was AWFUL! We've tried EVERYTHING!! Prune, apple, pear...no juices have worked!! We then were doing suppositories but the Pedi didn't want her to get use to them. We even saw a GI specialist and he didn't really know what to do for us. We ended up using Myralax a that seems to help, plus the Pedi started DD on solids at 4 months and that has helped a bit too. I'd check with the Pedi on using Myralax...but atleast it seemed to help! Hope something works out soon! Poor baby :(
