My legal name is Kathleen Ann. There was a song that my parents loved called Oh Kathleen I beleive. My dad went home for a shower after I was born and it was playing on the radio. He came back to the hospital and asked my mom if they could change my name from Niomi to Kathleen. I'n ot sure where Ann came from.
My mom gave all 4 of her kids 2 middle names. I only use Jordanna though. She taught French and came across the name and really liked it. As for Jordanna she read some book and the heroine's name was Jordanna. As for Noelle, not sure where that came from, but I never use that name. I've had spelling and pronunciation issues with my name for as long as I can remember. I do love my name though and think it suits me. Luckily for LO I know what it's like to have a hard to spell and pronounce name, so he's getting something easy to spell.
My dad loved the name Kate, but thought it was to short for a formal first name, so they used Katherine, but no one calls me that (Katherine) unless I'm in trouble or they don't know me... Anne is my mother's sister's name and a family name as well...
My mom liked the name, and had an agreement with 2 aunts that whoever had the first girl got to use the name. Obviously my mom won. When she was filling out the birth certificate she just spelled it with 2 n's, never thought about the spelling. Elizabeth is just a name she liked, but afterwards she discovered it was her high school best friend's middle name.
alysson jean. my mom swears she saw this variation of "alysson" in a baby name book at one point, but i've never seen it anywhere. she says she liked how it looked penned out on the birth announcements. yup, i got my name because of its cursive aesthetic.
it used to drive me crazy because i always had to spell my name out for people, and still they would spell it wrong. and i could never find those cheesy gift shop things (cups, pencils, buttons, notepads, etc.) with my name on them. now i love my name and feel very lucky to have something so unique, but baby girl will be getting a traditionally spelled name. :-)
jean is after my mom's mom, who died when my mom was only 19. her name was genivieve, but she always went by jean. i've always loved that i share a name with her, even though i never knew her.
Tiffani from the 80's pop singer. Not for her just got the name idea after dad heard about her on the radio. No clue where Nicole came from. Makenna was just a name we loved and Jay is her grandfather, and uncles(my father and brother) middle name
I am Danielle Alyse. My Mom went to high school with a Danielle and loved the name so they decided to use it on me. The weird thing is that I guess I turned out to be just like the girl they named me after, coloring and all.

Nikita Caprice. No special reason... my sperm donor wanted my first name to be Caprice but my mom didnt like it as much so they agreed on it as my middle name. My mom's dad used to tell people my name was Chevrolet though lol. The only nickname I have is Kita because my mom refused to let people call me Niki when I was too young to decide for myself. Worled out though cause my sister in law's name is Nikki.
Ashlyn Louise- My mom saw the name Ashlyn in the newspaper and Louise is my mom's friend's middle name. I like having a unique name but I'm always being called Ashley or Ashland.
Annie after my grandmother's twin sister(my grandmother was Minnie so I'm glad they didn't pick that). Elizabeth is a name that is used for many middle names in my family. I love family names. All 7 of my first cousins are named after or for somone. I'm also going to carry on the tradition with all of our kids.
Jessica was the only name my parents could agree on. It's another popular 1980's name. It was the #2 name (next to Jennifer) in 1982. I'm surprised I'm the first Jessica to post so far!!
My mother and her twin sister's middle names are Marie. My cousin's middle name (the twin's daughter) is also Marie.
There's no reason other than my parents liked it. But, my nana's middle name is Dian (sounds like Dee-On) and she thinks they named me after her, but it's not true.
Lara Brooke. My dad knew I was going to be a girl from the very beginning so they didn't even come up with a boy's name for me. My dad's side of the family is Russian and Lara is the Russian version of Laura. My middle name comes from one of my mom and dad's best friends, though my parents have called me Brooke since birth (they though Lara Brooke sounded better than Brooke Lara).
I'm Lindsay Brooke - but I was named after Lindsay Wagner, the bionic woman
My parents just looked through baby books and found a name they liked. My mom wanted to name me Sabrina, but my dad wouldn't agree to it. I'm glad they went with Larissa - even with all the Melissas, Marissas and Clarissas. My name means "cheerful like a bird" and it definitely fits!

My name is Krista Kay. Kay is also my mother's middle name, and they chose Krista because they wanted something that would sort of go with my older sister's name, Marissa.
Abigail because it was the name of the mom on the show "8 is Enough". I've never actually seen the show, but my mom watched it and loved the name. She didn't have a boy's name picked out because she was so sure I would be a girl. I came right before Christmas, so Noel is my mn.
