convertible car seat

so my 8mo LO is getting hard to cart around in a carrier and am starting to research convertible car seats... only issue i'm having is my car is so small the carrier barely fits in my nissan sentra i have no idea how to find out which ones would fit without buying one and findind out the hard way that it doesnt fit...

 any ideas or recommendations?

thanks in advance!

  • I'm having the same problem. I'm just going to find out the hard way though. You can try www.carseatdata.org

  • We just ordered The First Years True Fit. It is apparently medium sized, not too bulky. I'll get back to you when we try it out in my Prius!

  • We have a nissan sentra as well, and you can fit more than you think in those back seats!! We've fit (RF)- a Britax Boulevard and a First Years TrueFit. Both fit fine- even on the sides.

I'd skip recommend the TrueFit over the Boulevard, though. My top choices (that would definitely fit in your car) are the TrueFit, Graco MyRide, and Safety1st Complete Air.

  • The TrueFit fits perfectly in my husbands Subaru STI.  I really wanted to get a Graco MyRide for my husband's car as that is what I have in my car (Yukon) but it was just too big.

The TrueFit is the perfect compromise though.  Plus it had great ratings!
