DS HATES stage three baby food

Anyone else with a LO that won't eat stage three? DS will eat table food, but when I spoon stage three purees into his mouth he spits it out or pulls it out with his fingers and throws it on the floor.

DD will not take any kind of puree now. I can get in maybe 5 bites then she starts slapping the spoon around.

We pretty much only feed finger foods now. I just have so much puree left over I try to feed it to her or work it in a meal.

Mine! I only tried two or three jars of Stage 3 and ended up throwing most of those away. By that point, DS wouldn't eat off a spoon for me anyway, unless it's yogurt. He still eats cereal and pureed fruit at daycare but we do all finger foods at home.

wHAT if you put it in a bowl with a spoon? Maybe he is ready to be more independent? DD#1 was done with purees by 8 months. I made her food, but maybe the flavor of the real food is better than the jar food? (I've tasted it- I prefer the real thing too!)

Same here! He will eat any other stage food, but when it comes to stage 3, I get the most interesting faces and then the food is spit right back out. He will eat table food.

If he doesn't want it, I would just let him eat table food and start offering him what you eat.

Sounds like he is over purees and is ready for just table food!

DS started refusing purees right around when he turned 9 months. The only thing he'll eat now that's pureed like is yogurt or applesauce. He's on all table foods now aside from those 2 things
