Okay, another finger foods question

I see girls say that they give their LOs things like baked apples, steamed carrots, etc. Do you just stick things in the oven/steamer and cook them, or are there recipes? Do you put anything on them before you cook them?

I have a baby cook thing so it makes things much easier, but you can bake or steam everything. I don't put anything on LO's food before cooking. I usually add a little cinnamon to the apples after I cut them up.

I peel and steam. Be careful with apples-- if you overcook them they turn into applesauce... which is still yummy, but hard to pick up.

I don't put anything on carrots, but do put a dash of cinnamon on sweet potatoes....oh, and pumpkin too. I bake sweet potatoes and steam carrots.

I just give him store bought applesauce now (Mott's Natural Harvest - No Sugar Added)...don't do apples as finger foods at all.
