K is sick. I know she'll be fine but...

I still feel sad and uneasy. she's been sick before, but never with a stomach bug. she's thrown up 3 times...once was so bad that she and I both had to bathe. then, she had the worst diaper of her life. we threw a cloth diaper in the trash it was so gross! I already called the nurse line and she told me what I already knew (pedialyte, no solids for a few housr, watch for fever & dehydration). aside from cuddles, anything else I can do?

Unfortunately, there's not much else you can do. When you think she might be up for solids again, just keep it bland - crackers, applesauce, etc. I also didn't give DS a sippy of water/Pedialyte right away. If he were to gulp it down it would just come right back up. I let him take a few sips from an open glass, gave him about 10 minutes and if it didn't come back up, I let him have a little bit more.

The good thing is that these virus usually run their course pretty quickly - DS came down with it on Thursday morning and was feeling significantly better by that night. Good luck!

ditto everything the pp said. DD had it really badly a few weeks ago... she threw up about 4 times and then was dry heaving... it was so sad. The only blessing was that it was VERY short lived. She first got sick at 7:00pm and was done throwing up at 11pm. She wasn't 100% for a few days though.

The bad part was that I caught it from her the next day and my dad got sick the day after. I sure hope you don't catch it!!!!!!!!!
