Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Did any of your babies go Ape Shiit the first time you put them in an exersaucer?

I got two exersaucers as shower gifts but they are different.  So instead of returning one, I gave it to my parents to put at their house since we are over there all the time anyway.

We spent the day at their house yesterday watching the olympics and I decided to build the one there.  We put DD in it and she went crazy.  Seriously.  She pulled on the toys she could reach.  One side was less busy than the other and she seemed to like it but then we spun her around to the other side which had more toys in a row and she got so excited that she freaked out at the same time.  She was laughing, cooing, crying, and screaming all at once.  It was like she loved it and hated it at the same time.  I didn't want it to be a negative experience for her so I took her out and then she lost it.  Put her back in and she was happy.  It was total sensory overload.  Craziest thing I've ever seen.

I'm a little nervous to build ours.  It has way more toys on it than the one at my parents.

  • Awwww! I got a mental image of your DD laughing, cooing, crying and all that. Makes me want to hug her!

  • Yes did go ape shiit when we put him in there but it was more of excitment. Now everytime he goes in there he goes happy crazy.

  • Callie still gets excited every time she goes in! So cute
  • I only put DD in it for one minute to see her reaction because she's still a little young for it. Her eyeballs got HUGE - it was hilarious! I know that once she is able to stay in there longer, she will love it. And I will get something done for those 10-15 minutes.

  • 4 mos is a little young for an exersaucer.  Maybe wait a month and try it again.
