Our products have really changed over time because he has super sensitive skin. For baths, we have a nice thick hooded towel (our fave is from IKEA for $10 or something like that) and the little duck that you put in the water to see if it is too hot. For changing, we really like the California Baby diaper cream and calendula cream. They work with cloth diapers, if you have any interest in that, and don't irritate him. Plus they smell good and work!
We have tons of stuff from my showers, but we have needed very little. I like the Johnson's baby wash, and baby lotion, we also have a tube of desitin that we've never really needed.
I would suggest having a really big stock of wipes though. You'll be amazed how quickly you go through those!! We like the pampers sensitive for now! He hasn't had any diaper rash and I don't know if that is why, but I'm sure it helps!

Aquaphor is GREAT. You can use it for lots of different stuff too.
This is what I use as diaper creme, for cuts, as lotion for my dry cracked hands!
I use Pampers sensitive wipes after trying Seventh Generation and Huggies.
I always have extra chnaging pad covers and washcloths on hand at the changing station.
For bathing we have a tub, but we usually just take him in the bath with one of us. He really like to "swim" around. He is so much happier in the tub with us.
We use Aveeno baby wash and California Baby Lavender body wash and shampoo depending on our mood.
Big hooded towel is a must. Many hooded towels for baby are too small and thin. DS can be perfectly content during the bath, but we cries a lot when we take him out to dry him off because he is cold. A big fluffy towel is a huge help.
We use the creamy desitin, and I agree on having a stock of wipes. For baths I L-O-V-E love love love love love!!!! the Huggies washcloths that have soap already in them. They are so much easier to use one handed which helps a ton.
A&D Ointment...it is the best! (We also love our wipe warmer)

We use cloth diapers so our needs are going to be different if you are using disposables. That said, we have two changing stations - one upstairs and one on the main level, and I think this is a must! We have a full-on table with a contoured pad upstairs (was a gift; I never would have bought this) - it is not necessary but definitely nice to have. I only have one changing pad cover, and had planned to buy another, but I just throw a receiving blanket on the pad when the cover is in the wash and that works fine. (Those blankets are great for so many things!) Our downstairs "station" consists of a plastic drawer that we keep under a side table that is covered with a tablecloth. We use a travel changing pad - not padded or anything - and that works fine too. One other tip - I had some of those white plastic little containers with the screw-on cap that you can buy at the drugstore to put toiletries in, so I filled one with coconut oil to keep in the diaper bag. You could fill one with whatever lotion/diaper cream you use so that you don't have to tote a big bottle with you in the bag.
Bath:
We don't use soap on DD -- too drying for her skin. We give her oatmeal baths, but I just grind up old-fashioned oats in my food processor and use a strainer to add them to the tub before we put her in. Out of the bath we lube her up with Calendula cream (for her eczema) and coconut oil for moisturizer. Works great and she smells like a macaroon! We have a few baby washcloths that I knitted for her (cheapo ones from Target work, too) and a hooded towel (not a necessity - we did fine using one of our existing regular towels before MIL bought this one for her). We did like our Summer Infant bathing "sling" seat that could be placed in a tub, but it sticks out of the water too much for her to be as immersed as I'd like, so we only used it for a couple months. Now we use a plastic basin from the hardware store, and DH holds her while I bathe her. Works great. That's it!
