I need to register for a swaddler of some sort. Baby is due in early June-do I just get the miracle blanket or get a newborn cotton swaddler and then a large fleece one for fall/winter? Recs?
I would say something light unless its cold in your house because of the A/C. I didn't use a swaddler for DD. I just used a receiving blanket and her light jersey jammies.

We loved the aden&anais muslin blankets and still use them for lots of things.
You likely won't be swaddling in the late fall/winter, and I think you'd be able to layer with the muslin even in the winter not to need anything else.
DD was born in June. The miracle blanket was AWESOME. She didn't sleep swaddled anymore by the time it was cold, so I would wait on getting a heavier one b/c you don't know how your LO will be comfortable sleeping at that point.

I will recommend the Miracle Blanket to anyone, anytime, anywhere. It's pretty light as long as you keep the jammies light or just use a onesie under it.
DS born in July. We tried a swaddleme, but he hated being swaddled. I then discovered the Halo sleepsack. In the newborn size, it has a swaddle attachment that can be velcroed on or taken off. He loved it. We used cotton as he was and is a hot baby. He still sleeps in a sleepsack, but we have moved to fleece for the winter. And fwiw, he is a pretty big baby and still only in a Medium.

This. DS wore just a onesie and a miracle blanket all summer and we live in AZ. It was the only swaddle he liked!
Re: June baby-miracle blanket or cotton swaddler?
