Hi,
Just wondering if any of you take your infant or are planning on taking your infant to daycare in the future. I am looking for a good daycare in the Chicagoland/Evanston area. Any recommendations? Was there a waitlist? How early in your pregnancy did you begin looking at different centers?
Re: Evanston/Chicagoland/Northshore Daycares
We are taking LO to a Goddard School after I go back to work. I found it in less than two weeks, mainly because the Bright Horizons that we were going to send LO to is closing right after I go back to work. So, in the middle of leave, I had to go out and find a new day care facility. There wasn't a wait list, per se, but they didn't have space until April 1, and I go back to work in the middle of March, so for two weeks we have to find alternative care ... DH is taking some vacation time and MIL is coming to visit for about a week. The only good thing about this bad economy is that a lot of people have pulled their kids out of daycare, so there's more space available.
I live in the NW suburbs, (Long Grove area), and there were only about 4 places that took infants ... which really surprised me.
Oh, and my aunt, who is a retired 1st grade teacher said that Goddard Schools are very very good facilities.
