Why do people report others?

If some is being a totally d-bag I can see why (although I never have done it) but why do people care if someone post a link someone could be making a little money on or other stuff of that nature?

IMO if it's not hurting me and the person isn't filling the board with spam, I don't care about it.

maybe I should make this my unpopular opinion? haha

I'll report someone that trolls the boards to post the same thing over & over...like, if you (Amy) were to post something for us to vote for Henry on here, 6-12, BOTB, your local board, GP, etc...I'd report you.

My unpopular opinion is that they report because they don't like the person. <- In the situation the person isn't be a d-bag and is posting TOS violations.

Again, that is just my opinion of the reports I've seen on the bump boards.

I think they do it because it makes them feel good. They obviously have self esteem issues. If they are being downright mean they should be reported. But reporting just to report is a total power trip.

I've been reported for saying that I was wearing flip flops that day (okay, not...but something equally lame & not worthy of TOS).

it would take a LOT for me to report someone...basically posting personal info on another poster without their consent, or making threats.

i'm one of the mods on a memphis tigers message board, and this board is a lesson in etiquette compared to some of the people we get over there.

whoever said men don't like drama has never seen any of these guys. sheesh. the women over there are the rational ones, lol.

I don't even know what the bump considers to be valid reasons for reporting. Some of it just seems ridiculous.
