Marc and I eat Japanese probably once a week. I don't remember not being able to eat with chopsticks so i don't remember when my parents taught me to use them. Alexis always watches us with curiosity. I know they have the training ones, but I kind of still think she's too young and wouldn't have the coordination. Do any of your kids use them or do you have an opinion on an appropriate age?
Re: When can they learn to use chopsticks?
I remember Noah using them when he was like 2 at Stir Crazy for my bday
Aa tried using some yesterday and he is almost 3 and besides the occasional stabbing something and putting it to his mouth it was a big fat fail
both y kids eat with the training ones without a problem, Alexis shouldn't have a problem either! they more coordination that we think!
PS: you just made me crave sushi!
Here they start around 2yrs old. I already have Ayden's, but like Beth said, it's mostly stabbing that occurs now. When we go to the Sushi go round, all Ayden does is stab the rice.

Are these the type of chopsticks you have for her? If you can't find them in the states, let me know I can get them here.
You crack me up! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
I know we gave the training ones to Cedric, and, bad mother that I am, quite honestly I don't remember if he used those or the fork or his fingers.
