Need advice... Question. Clomid/bleeding day 24.

This is my first month on Clomid. I ovulated late on day 18.. and now i'm bleeding on day 24. I don't understand. I just called my Drs office. Waiting for a call back. Sound like a LPD? Thats only 7 days between. Has anyone else had this happen? My prgesterone level was 52 this month which is great improvement from 1.22 and 1.3 in prior months. I really felt like the medicine helped my cycle up to this point. Let me know what you all think about this. Thank you!

When was your progesterone checked if you aren't 7dpo yet?

With your progesterone that high, I wouldn't think it's an LPD. How bad is the bleeding? Have you had sex recently? Maybe you irritated your cervix.

Do you know for sure you ovulated on CD18? Also, that progesterone is super high. Are you sure you weren't pregnant? (sorry, I'm not trying to be insensitive)

Its dark red. Achy and cramps. They checked my progesterone level on day 21... I even asked "are you sure I shouldn't wait till 7dpo?" I'm on clomid 50mg and prometrium 200mg. I was quite suprised of my level also and didn't know what it meant. Do you think I could have been preg?? Office just called back.. she was going talk to the Dr and see what he wants to do.

I'm not trying to freak you out - 52 is just a level of progesterone I thought only occured during pregnancy. Did you have any ultrasound or bloodwork before starting clomid? If so, a pregnancy would have been caught, I would think. Calling the doctor was a good plan, in my opinion.

She was on prometrium, though.

Sorry, OP, I don't have any advice. You might consider seeing an RE who will monitor you on Clomid rather than your OB. Good luck.

Thanks for the help you guys! Still waiting on a phone call back from the Dr. I'm so upset! If its not one thing.. its something else. It sucks feeling so powerless! Hopefully we can get this figured out.

So i'm kinda confused... They told me to continue taking the rest of my prometrium in the bottle but I thought that was only taken starting on day 14??? They called in another month of clomid 50mg. My periods are not regular yet. I'm seriously considering making an appt with an RE. Money is the only issue... and the feeling of "what if I can do this on my own.. without spending more money." I'm frustrated b/c I don't feel like i'm getting the explanations and answers I want.

I have been in your shoes. I did 3 Clomid cycles with my GYN before moving to a RE (because my insurance wasn't covering anything). Needless to say, those cycles were a complete waste because I wasn't monitored so no one even knew if the Clomid was really working. I also ended up having an emergency surgery thanks to the Clomid.

Go see a RE. It will make life much easier.
