3rd Trimester

Madison Lee finally arrived.

So I was finally induced yesterday at 42 weeks 1 day and after 12 hours of intense labor with Pitocin my 8 lb 13 oz 19 inch long baby wouldn't fit through my pelvic region. I wanted a vaginal birth more than anything but my doctors words were "some women don't have the hips to have a baby vaginally" it hurt to find that out but after receiving 2 emergency shots to raise my blood pressure after it dropped way low and the baby's heartbeat speeding up I decided to just cry it out through the contractions until I got to the OR and got my epidural and realized it's what's best for our baby.

I don't recall what happened after the baby was brought over to me because my blood pressure dropped very low I was out of it until I woke up in the recovery room. I was upset that everyone that was waiting got to hold my baby girl before me and even after I came to be aware of where I was they still wouldn't let me hold her because they were scared I would still pass out. Needless to say she's here and we're both doing pretty good. I'm still having trouble with blood pressure and I lost a bunch more blood than normal I'm feeling ok and trying to stay away from the pain medicines as long as I can. Madison seems to be very stuffed up today and we found out that she has Developmental dysplasia of the hip, basically her right hip is dislocated. Luckily they think she may fix it herself with a special swaddling technique but we have to see a specialist when we are released from the hospital.

I hope all the other mommies to be are excited to meet their little ones soon :) good luck with your labors!!
