  It is an IM shot which I think means it has to go in the butt.

  My nurse told me that if need be it can go into the leg but they really prefer it in the butt.

  You technically can give it in your thigh - it's a pretty big muscle, but my nurse said it would hurt a lot more so she said behind. But if there is no way around it, it IS a possiblity.

Beta #1 = 172 (15dpiui) Beta #2 =683!!! Ultrasound at 7 wks: 1 perfect beating heart.

  There are a bunch of ladies around here and on SAIF that do their own PIO shots.  The sit with a cheek up on the bathroom counter and look in the mirror while they do it.  They actually made it sound pretty easy and they said that they prefer to do it themselves anyway.  I would ask over on SAIF how to do it yourself.  GL!

  Dx with severe endometriosis. DS#1 conceived with Met and TI. TTC#2 for 2.5 yrs. Dx 2nd IF. 4 clomid cycles, 2 IUIs, Finally IVF#1 w/ICSI worked for us! twins born 35w3d. Unexpected total hysterectomy 6/11. Now on the HRT train.

   This!  It is really very easy, and I found it less painful than when my DH did it.  Therefore, he got fired   I just prop my butt check up on the bathroom counter, then reach around and inject.  Warming the syringe under hot water for a minute or so helps thin the oil and it goes in easier.  Just make sure you have a tissue near by for when you pull out the needle.  Sometimes, I had bleeders and couldn't grab a tissue quick enough and got blood on my pj bottoms.  GL!

  TTC #1 since 6/07, Dx = Ovulatory dysfunction, DOR, and autoimmune issues ~ 4 Clomid cycles, 1 Femara Cycle, 6 Injectible IUI cycles~ 4 Chemical PG's ~ IVF #1 Dec '09 = BFP!! Beta 8dp3dt = 68 10dp3dt = 276 16dp3dt = 1511 ~ First U/S 1/14 = 3 Heartbeats!!! Lost Baby C at 8w5d Emergency Cerclage at 22wks saved our babies lives
