PSA: regarding c/s

Re: PSA: regarding c/s

  • I had a csection- and was quite surprised how easy the recovery was! With some minor aches and pains, it was honestly the complete opposite of what you hear or anticipate based on these chats.. I believe that if I hadn't gone through the 12 hours of labor beforehand, I would have bounced back even quicker.. Thank you for enlightening some misinformed ladies.

I would never lay blame or fault on a mom for having a medically-necessary c-section. *** happens and that's fine. Thank GOD for the medical advances we have today so that we do have c/s and mom and baby come out fine, whereas decades ago, they may have not survived but I just can't figure out why on earth someone, a first time mom, would CHOOSE to have a c-section out of nothign more than convenience?

    You are such a tool.

Guess what, sh!tbird, it's not for you to figure out.

I don't give a sh!t how you give birth. Why the hell would you care what another woman chooses?

Personally, I wouldn't mind a c-section. I'm in the medical field, it's a procedure that I feel comfortable with and confident in. And I shouldn't have to explain myself to anyone. Judge away, oh Holy One.

  • If your great doctor told you to jump off a bridge, would you jump or research what might happen if you jump off the bridge?

I do NOT understand people that just accept anything their doctor says as truth and right for them. You might not like what you find on google but the fact is... if the are valid research studies then you should at least ask your doctor their opinion on them.

I find that being an informed patient makes for a much better doctor/patient relationship. The doctor respects you more and gives you more options in addressing your health care problems.

But then again, I have never had a c-section so what do I know...

I can think of one time I did judge a girl who had an elective C-or wanted to.  This girl who was TOO YOUNG to be getting pregnant.  She did it purposefully and tried to conceive with whomever she was dating at the time.  She had some issues, yep.  Eventually, it happened and she claimed she felt she was "too little down there" to have a baby vaginally and scheduled an elective c-section.  Too bad she went into labor a couple of weeks before her due date!  It's evil, but I loved that and thought it was just what she deserved.

That said, yes we women have a right to do with our bodies what we please.  But the post was about what we judge about pregnant women and people answered.  It was the point of the post.  People have a right to an opinion, whether it's offensive or not.  I personally don't think much of the choice and having seen some bellies post-C I can definitely say I'll do whateva I can to avoid one, lol.

Yeah, this particular post was not about what we judge.  That was another post, in case you couldn't tell.

You know what I judge? People who judge a woman on how she chooses to give birth. Get a fvcking grip.
