Is your pnp deeper than the crib?
We got our pnp at a shower yesterday and when I put it together last night it was really big and takes up a lot of room in our already small BR. I checked out the dimensions on the crib that we ordered and according to what I saw the pnp is about 10" deeper than the crib. That's good because even though it's longer that won't matter as much in the room as the depth does since we are planning to have the crib in our room.
Thanks!
ETA: It's been figured out. Thanks!
Re: Question for those who have a crib & pnp
Not sure you need both a PNP and a crib, especially in the same room. They pretty much do the same thing. We started with a bassinet and now just have a crib.. no PNP.
Why not use the PNP in your living room/downstairs for napping?
We weren't planning to have them both in the room at the same time. I was just trying to compare the size to see if I can estimate how well the crib will fit into our BR.
We needed a pnp though because we will be doing some traveling this summer to pick up/take back my boys and visiting relatives while we are there.
ETA:
Ok these are the dimensions of our PNP - which is the Graco Splash.
Height 33.25" - Width 28.2" - Depth 40"
Now, here are the crib dimensions - which is the Graco Lauren
Height 43.62" - Width 57" - Depth 30.62"
This is how my mind works. When they say width I actually think they mean length. And when they say depth I think they mean width. Am I totally off here????
I think they are flip-flopped - the width of the crib would compare to the depth of the pack & play and vice versa.
It is kind of weird and a bit annoying that the company can't standardize how they measure!
Well, I didn't even think of that. lol. I'll measure the darn pnp when I get home and see if I can figure it out.
ETA: I did a little more research and I think you are right. If that's the case then I'm only looking at a couple of inches difference which won't be that big of a deal.
Thanks!
