pants for skinny babies

ds has outgrown his 6-9 mo pants, and some of his 6-12 mos pants (gap) and i need to get him some more pants but some of the 12 mo pants i've gotten for him just fall right off. he's on the smaller side, only 17.5 lb but he's 27.5 inches. so the 6-9 mo pants fit in width, but are now too short, and the 12 mo pants fit in length but not width.

i've tried some gap and children's place pants - both fit in length but are too big for his waist.

help out the mama of a skinny little guy.

ideas?

Sounds like you need some adjustable waist pants. DD is skinny too and Target carries adjustable waist pants.... they are a godsend.

We have the same problem with Baby C (he's almost 29 inches, but only 18.5 lbs), and we've found that Carter's pants fit him very well.

Jakob was a skinny baby. Gap and Gymboree were always way too big. Children's Place and Old Navy fit best.

Carter's seem to fit A fairly well, though I found when she jumped from the NB size to the 3mo size (because she needed the length), the waist fit well, the length fit well, but the were still ginormous around the hips and thighs. But you know, they're the stretchy knit pants so I guess it's okay that they're a little baggy as long as they don't fall off.

Ditto the Carter's. Also, Kohl's has a brand, Jumping Beans, that seem to fit E really well. My mom bought him a bunch of stuff from there, and she said they're usually on sale for $5 a piece.

I have the same issue, adjustable waist pants are the answer. I've gotten them from Children's Place and Target has as well. I believe Old Navy also carries them but I'm not sure.

Children's Place and Old Navy pants fit Will okay...they're still a little big in the waist, though. Gap and Gymboree stuff is always huge around the waist and just barely long enough.

DS is long and lean, and it seems Carter's, Old Navy, and Target fit him best. Of all three, though, Carter's has the smallest waist that don't slip down on him, it seems.

We loved GreenDog from Macy's when DD was that age and had the same issue. Now with DS, we use the OshKosh with the adjustable waist from Target.

I was gonna come in and say Guess too. They fit him really well. I've also liked the jeans from Target. The Gap adjustable waist ones still end up being too bulky up top.
