I am in charge of favors for a shower. It's a Spring/"Baby is Blooming" theme. I am going to do little flower pots with seed packets...wrap them in tulle and ribbons. I was just wondering if anyone here had done this/seen it and could give me any tips/advice. I am wondering if I should just fill the pots with potting soil and put bulbs in there or just put seed packets in for guests to plant themselves. Also, I am wondering if I should put a label/tag on them saying something cute about watching it grow or plant it with love, etc. Any help would be appreciated!
Re: "Blooming" theme/seed favors??
I went to a shower last year and received an African Violet that was already potted for me in a nice pot. Seeds alone - I probably would've tossed them. You could also do some marigolds or petunias - but those are outdoor plants probably?
But then you have to think about people that don't care for flowers/taking care of them or people that don't have the space for them if you're getting "outside" type flowers. So depends on who's coming.
Definitely put a cute poem with it. Something about watching "Baby Smith" grow and watching your plant grow? Could be really cute!
