Do any of you do this? I hear lots of new mamas talking about how they never have time for a shower....and I figure it would probably be pretty nice to be be able to bring my LO into the shower with me (if I keep it cool enough) - but babies are SO SLIPPERY!
Do any of you shower with LO? Do you have a wrap that you get wet, or is holding LO not a problem?
Thanks!

I shower with DD every night without a wrap or anything. It is honestly the best time of my day and I have found that it is so much easier to wash her that way instead of dragging out the baby tub. I put a baby wash cloth over my arm to provide some friction between our wet skin and I've never had any trouble with it. I do have some help though...DH hands her in to me and takes her from me so that I can wash myself, my hair, etc.
I wasn't comfortable until DS was holding himself up extremely well. Until then, DH and I worked it out or I tub bathed with him.
When we shower together now, I put DS in the far end of the tub with some toys. I use my body to block the spray and soap while I shower. When I am done, I pick DS up (I don't find him nearly as slippery as he gets bigger) and play with him under the spray. He loves it! Since he has eczema and only bathes every other day, I have never actually soaped him up in the shower.
I know some people do it but I would be afraid to wear him while washing myself. I would be afraid of getting soap in his eyes.

this exactly... since about 2 months old and still do it every single night. i LOVE it and i think we both benefit from the skin-to-skin time. and NO cleanup of a bathtub required, yay! i cradled her in one arm before she could situp, now i hold on my hip, and use a pump soap bottle with my other hand to wash her. i never really have her directly under the shower spray. then pass to DH and do my own thing - i highly recommend it!
but if you're home alone and just want a break, the bouncy chair in the shower is a great idea when they're tiny. the warm steam always put DD to sleep when nothing else worked.
We do shower w/ DS but not until he was strong enough to sit in a chair like this:
He LOVES it. It wasn't until he turned about 12 mos. that he started really liking baths.
