mind numbing cramps...

Anyone else having menstrual like cramps plus lower back pain that make you feel like you are going to get your period any minute? The kind that make you want to curl up in a ball in bed or sit in a warm bath. I have been getting them on and off for almost 5 days. They wake me up in the middle of the night and can last anywhere from 20 mins. to 5 hrs. Now I am starting to get them during the day too. Are menstrual like cramps BH or real contractions?? So confusing...my back is on fire too and a lot of women I have talked to said their contractions started in the back.

My sister said she had this and it last her entire 9th month...really??? An entire month of this!!! Anyone else have this?? So far I just take Tylenol when it gets bad or take a warm bath to ease the pain. I will let me doc know Wed. at my next appt. but this is annoying!!!

Re: mind numbing cramps...

  • not a doctor but they sound like real contractions. right now i get mine on and off they are becoming more frequent. So I am really trying to rest. Dont want to pop this kid out yet. Good luck seems like labor might be right around the corner

  • I'd call your Dr. and just get some reassurance..Good luck!
  • My OB says the period like cramps are contractions.  If you're having them in your back and in the front, I'd call your OB now since you're not quite full term yet.

  • Yes, I've had this over the past couple weeks.  Very uncomfortable and it lasts about 2 minutes.  Nothing timeable though.  If yours are coming and going in regular intervals, call your doctor!
