Do you keep your LO in PJs if you're just hanging out at home??

I do. If we're not going anywhere, I don't see the need to dress DS, especially since I stay in my PJs until I'm ready to leave the house or we have company. Like today, for example, DS and are are both not feeling well, so we stayed home. We're both in our PJs and I plan to stay this way until we take a shower and bath to get ready for bed tonight.

Am I alone here??

  • I always take a shower in the AM and get ready.

I get my son ready when I do. He takes a bath at night though.

  • I do the same!  & if I have to pick him up early for whatever reason the first thing we both do is PJ up!

  • Nope.  I shower before DH does and get dressed and ready for the day.  When C wakes up he's dressed in a clean outfit.  The only time I stayed in pj's all day was a few weeks ago when I had a stomach virus.
  • I never have but that's just b/c I don't like how it makes me feel (not getting dressed for the day) so I always get DD dressed. If we are just going to hang out at home I will just put her in a comfy outfit for the day.
  • Sometimes I'll let him play in his PJ's until after breakfast, but He's always changed in the morning. I'll hang out in my PJ's all day though. I put on a bra, but stay in my spaghetti strap and sweats. DS just wears a onesie, sometimes I'll put his sweats on him too.

  • Sometimes.

  • Sure - why not! Myself on the other hand..can't do it
  • Nope.  D always stays in his jammies until after his AM nap, and occasionally he hangs in them all day if we don't have anything going on.  We don't do that as much now that he's older, but when he was younger, we did it all the time!
  • I keep him in PJs as well, unless we leave or people are coming over.

  • We do this. As a matter of fact we are both still in our PJs today. I see no need to put on a full outfit for DD (or myself for that matter) if all we are doing is laundry, housework, and playing all day. I do change her into clean PJs after her morning bath, but I don't dress her up like I would if we were going out. And somedays I don't dress her at all.
  • Sometimes. Yesterday she stayed in her PJ's all day. I changed her into new ones before she went to bed.
  • Our house is so cold in the winter, that I have been keeping my DS in his pjs for warmth.

  • You're not alone. All 3 of us are in PJ's right now and I plan to stay that way until it's time for bath and clean PJ's after dinner tonight. I do have to say, though, that I'm a zombie right now. Nursing at least 3 times per night and JD's sleep is crap right now (waking at 5:30 AM for the day and refusing naps) so I'm just doing enough to get by! Hopefully when I'm able to get more than 4 hours of sleep per night I'll have the energy to wrestle JD into actual clothes!

  • Usually. But they are only home like that a few days a week.

Me too. Plus he won't keep socks on, so the footie pj's are the best.

He's usually dressed at some point, but sometimes not until after his nap.

  • No, but she eats breakfast in her pj's and normally gets them dirty. She's usually dressed in the morning before I am. But I shower and get dressed every day. I feel completely lazy and unmotivated if I don't.

Oh yeah, we definitely BOTH put new PJs on before going back to bed!!

  • In the last year I've done that maybe 3 times. And twice it was because we were both sick once and the other time she was reeeeally sick. There was NO way we were going anywhere and I knew that. The rest of the time I'd hate it if I wanted to make a quick run to Dunkin Donuts or something and felt like we had to get ready first for an hour.

I now shower at nights so in the morning all I do is wash my face and brush my teeth and pop on something from my (very limited so easy to decide lol) maternity wardrobe :) DH usually showers and dresses DD each morning by the time I get up (around 8a) so that's usually done. If not I dress her after breakfast/next diaper change (usually after breakfast). Either way we're ready to leave the house if the need should arrise (minus of course shoes, coats etc) no later than 9a, 10a on a lazy day.

  • If it's cold out (not too often, we're in Florida) and we aren't going anywhere I will because his pj's are nice and warm. Otherwise I change him into shorts and a t-shirt right when he wakes up
  • We rarely stay home all do and if we do, it's usually not planned, so we get dressed and then end up going nowhere. But if we're sick or the weather's terrible we'll stay in our pjs, though I usually put him in a fresh pair or just a onesie and sweatpants since he destroys his outfit at breakfast.
  • I do that. Most weekend days are pj's all day. lol

  • I always get her dressed.... although I always get her out of the house for a little while, so that's really the main reason. We live in San Diego, so the weather is almost always nice enough to go for a walk at the very least.

When she is sick, she'll stay in PJs, but actually I will change her into clean PJs!

  • I SAH with ds so there are plenty of days that we don't go anywhere and we always put regular clothes on him.

  • We do especially if cold and rainy like today. We did get dressed and went to swim lessons this morning though. I called before we left and they were still having them but when we arrived they cancelled them because of the lightening.
  • Oh my lord, yes. Particularly with this morning sickness kicking my butt, we've had QUITE a few pj days in the past month. I am totally a pajama person though, if I know I'm not going anywhere I'll shower and put comfy clothes back on (pj pants and a tank top/t-shirt). I figure, I like being comfortable and lounging sometimes, why wouldn't he?
  • No, I get her dressed. It may not be till like 9 am or so (she's up around 6:30). I don't get dressed myself until around the same time.

Come to think of it, we didn't hang in pj's during the summer at all. It must just be this cold, snowy weather that makes us want to do it. I think when it's warm again, he'll be in real clothes right away so we can go outside to play.

  • We stay in our PJs until late morning most of the time.  During the week, I take her to the sitter or my mom's in her PJ's.  They dress her there.

  • Usually I have some sort of errand to run so I will dress Kendall for the day but every now and then we have "Jammie Day" where we hang out all day in our jammies, play games and relax. Those are fun days.
  • even if we don't leave the house I always get my DD's dressed...I don't think they've ever spend a whole day in pj's...
  • No, I always change her into clothes right around 8 a.m.  And I get dressed too.  I'm just not a PJ person -- it makes me feel a bit depressed to still be in them too much past breakfast.

  • Yep. We enjoy what we like to call "lazy Sundays", and just lounge around for a good part of the day in pj's. Love it!
  • Sometimes.  DS wears two sets of pajamas at night--long underwear two piece under fleece footed pjs.  Lately he's been asking to stay in his pajamas when he gets up, so I take off the top layer and let him stay in the long underwear.  However, he has been getting really messy at home lately, so I'm trying to start putting him in real clothes again, as we have more of those than pjs.  I don't want to keep washing them so that he has something to wear to bed!
