S/O Old Navy Sizing

So, I usually wear a small in tops and dresses.  But, I ordered a Medium in most of the tops I ordered from Old Navy b/c my boobs are serisouly huge right now - I am spilling out of D's (and was a small B pre-pregnancy).

Most of the tops I ordered were button up work tops and I didn't want the boob gap going on.

Do you think they are going to be huge on me?  I really don't want to return everything I bought!

Re: S/O Old Navy Sizing

  • I'm in the same boat w/ the ladies.  I bought items in a large because my belly was HUGE with DS.  I prefered everything loose and flowing.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I'm sure you'll be fine.  Old Navy has a quick return policy if it doesn't work out.

  • The dress I wore at my baby shower for my daughter came from Old Navy. I felt huge, but the medium dress fit perfectly. That was 3 years ago, so their sizing may have changed over the years. I know it seemed that their maternity items used to seem smaller than actual size. This time, I'm starting off larger pre-preg. So, I'm wearing some of my old maternity clothes early.
  • I find that their maternity clothes run a size big, maybe not exactly a size big but they are cut more generously than the regular clothes.  I just bought a bunch of tops in my regular size and they are a little more flowy than I would like.  The pants I ordered in my normal size had to be exchanged for a smaller size.  I think they are expecting me to gain ten extra inches in my backside!
  • Order your regular size.  I ended up exchanging things with the last pregnancy, and then they were unavailable in the size I wanted.  I normally go between a small and medium, and the mediums were plenty big on me.

This.  I usually wear a 2 in Old Navy and the maternity smalls were big until I hit the last month or so.  The XS stuff fit ok, but became too short at the end.

  • Old Navy is suppose to run on the larger side, so I am not sure if they will be right or not.  Also style will have an impact.
