My husband and I are having a hard time deciding on a glider. I wanted the reclining, locking shermag glider but he feels the reclining feature is not useful because it is not a smooth recline. I also like the upholstered gliders but he feels they are too hard to get up from....
Any recommendations or opinions would be great!!!
Re: Need help picking a glider
I got a Best Chairs recliner from their Storytime series. The color I'm posting is ugly but keep in mind, when you buy one of these you choose the fabric - we got it in a solid off-white:

To your husband's point, the recliner feature we got on this is AMAZING - it has a remote control (attached with a wire) remote with an electric button for a smooth recline, both down and up. And you can stop it anywhere in between for any position. It rocks and swivels, the back is high enough for those of us who are tall, and it's on the wider side which is great. We bought it from a local children's furniture store - tested a number of chairs and felt this was the best value. It's a little more expensive than a typical BRU glider, but it is solid and I'm confident it'll last a lot longer.
This is the one that we got, too - and we LOVE IT.
Ours doesn't have that remote control feature - I have never heard of it so it must be a new option.
Where did you buy it? I wanna try it out before I buy it. Thanks for your help.
