3rd Trimester

Today is my 30 week check-up

Please keep your fingers crossed that my OB finally did what he keeps saying he'll do.  That he has spoken to my Neuro AND researched trends in L & D for Mom's with Multiple Sclerosis AND has a better answer for me then "Huh.  I think you can TRY delivering natural and if your end up with an emergency C/S, it's not the end of the world".

I really don't want to have to try to find a new OB this late in the game!

  • Ughh frustrating! Hope your OB has educated himself...and if not... find yourself a new one! Good luck!

    What does your neuro say?

She has been less then helpful, as well.  Her specialty seems to be Alzheimers rather then MS.  Whenever I've questioned things, she just refers me back to my OB.  At my last appointment she actually said "I just haven't had any MS patients decide to have a baby".  What??  That makes no sense since MS strikes in your childbearing years.

  • Wow. I hope he/she has a better answer for you! That's kind of a uncaring thing to say.

  • Wow - good luck!  It's really surprising that your OB wouldn't have looked into this by now - not only for your own good but just to cover himself so that he knows he can handle the situation.  I would think he would refer you to someone else if he's not familiar with the situation anyway.  If you don't get the answers you need then definitely start looking into other options!
  • good luck!  I go to mine on Thursday!
