Little Miss Fallon is FINALLY here. (PIP and long)

I came into L&D Thursday evening around 7:30. I was barely a fingertip dilated, about 50% effaced, and LO was still at a -3. We thought for sure that I was going to have to start with the minimal cervix pill, but they monitored me for two hours with no meds first. Thankfully I was contracting enough on my own that I was able to skip to Cervidal (sp). Before getting the lovely "tampon" I was checked again... 10pm: I had managed to dilate almost to 1cm, about 80% effaced, but still at -3 station. After 12 wonderful hours of being monitored and contracting (I was able to sleep, but woke every 1-2 hours to pee) 10am: Nearly 2cm dilated, paper-thin cervix, -1 station!! The MOST progress I have had the WHOLE time!!!!

Around 11am I was started on Picotin, my contrax slowed down and became irregular for a few hours, but were definitely intensifying and lasting longer. By 4pm they were finally time-able, painful and looong (about 2 min long). DH had his best friend visiting (per my suggestion) but by 6:30pm I was in so much pain that I had to ask him to leave, so of course that's when my parents decided to stop in! haha, My father watched me through ONE contrax and said that he and my mother were leaving... guess I was in more pain than I wanted to admit.

I was in so much pain from the contrax I was having a hard tome remembering how to breath, but didn't want to epi yet, I was convinced I wasn't dilating very fast. Well, 8pm hit and I couldn't take it anymore, I asked my MW to check me and then we would decide when to do the epi...SURPRISE!!! 8cm, completely thinned out, and station +1!!!!
GIVE ME THE EPI NOW PLEAAAASE!!!
My MW rushed the anesthesiologist to my room, he showed up around 8:30 and gave me my epi by 9. No sooner did everyone leave the room, thinking we had a little longer to wait, did I call the nurse back in so I could go to the bathroom... I needed to poop!

My MW came in checked me out and said that I was ready to go! I was so out of it and numb that I didn't even realize I was pushing to push the baby until 9:15. I pushed (knowingly this time) for another 15 min and then BAMN Little Miss Fallon was here!!! Next time I'm asking for the epi earlier!!! haha

She is wonderful and perfect. Daddy and I are soo proud!
