I have been having uncomfortable, but not painful, contractions for about 4 hours now. They are anywhere from 6-10 min apart and 30-45 sec long. I'm not thinking of going to L&D or anything b/c I want to labor at home for as long as possible. This doesn't seem like it would be real labor b/c I'm imagining it will hurt a lot more, but is this a sign of things starting? Or is this just something that can happen and then subside until real labor starts?
Re: Contraction Question - is this a start?
Yes, I have been drinking a ton of water and have tried to change positions and it seems like they get worse when I get up and walk around. Which actually makes me think it's false since real labor should be pretty consistent, right?
I guess it has to progress at some point and I will know one way or the other. Good thing it's getting late and I can go to sleep. I guess if I wake up worse it's real and if I don't it was just practice! LOL
