Today was my SIL's baby shower.  (We're due 2 days apart).  I walked in and we were wearing the same shirt, a very casual shirt.  (The one in my siggy in fact)  It was brought up many times, and the last time she said something about it I blurted "I knew you had this shirt, but didn't worry about wearing it, because I figured you would wear a dress today!"    It made her feel bad.  :(

    Oops! It wasn't a terrible thing to say but it would be something I could have easily assumed too.

    After the first time she said something, I think I would have laughed it off.  But, after that, I think I would have said the same thing.  I don't think what you said was too bad and she shouldn't have harped on it and made you feel bad if she didn't want you to say something :)
