Flip camcorder?

Does anyone have it? DH just bought me a new digital camera last night but we also wanted to add a camcorder to record our kids. If you have one or know someone who has one, do you like it? Would it be worth it to purchase one or actually get a handheld camcorder like JVS or something. Thanks!!

I got one for DH for Christmas -- we haven't used it much yet, but we like it so far. We debated a long time about whether to go with a flip or a nicer bigger camera but figured we'd use the flip more and it was more portable.

Just to add, if you're looking to zoom in pretty far then a flip cam isn't the best option. But if you're looking for quick and easy uploads, clear recording, easy software to use and convenience then it's perfect!

How clear is the picture on the FLIP? A guy my husband golfed with once had one and emailed us some videos, but they were VERY grainy. I'm wondering if it was just his. For something that is supposed to be HD, it was pretty awful. Also, how much time can you record on them?

There are different models of it, but mine does 2 hours. The more you zoom the "grainier" it gets. Here's an example of me just messing around with it.
