Reflux mommas using rice cereal: what size/flow nipples are you using?

Our dr gave us the okay to try rice cereal in DS's bottles but what size nipples are you using? Medium or fast? I don't want LO choking if I get too fast flow. We only have slow flow nipples and will be going out in the morning for new nipples.

Oh btw, we will be trying 1 Tbsp. per 2 oz. of breast milk, so you know the basic consistency we'll be working with.

    I use fast flow.  If we use formula we use Similac RS (the rice is already added), and to BM I add 1 tb per ounce.

    I didn't know that meant the rice cereal was already added.. good to know if we need to try it with formula!

    did your doctor advise to use cereal at every feeding?

    I'll be going back to work full time on Monday and he will be getting bottles then. The dr advised to put cereal in all of his bottles and to continue to bf when I'm not working. We have a follow up appointment with the dr in a few weeks for a weight check and to see how the rice cereal is working for his reflux.

    what bottles are you using? we have both dr. browns(nipple #3) and playtex ventaire(fast flow nipple). our rice to formula consistency is 3tsp in 5oz so its just a little less than what your dr told you (yours will be a tad thicker)... and we give him that at every feeding

    We have Playtex Ventaire and Playtex Drop-Ins. DH tried the fast flow nipple this morning and it worked good he said.
