Which would you rather? (NBR)

This was a FB status.. Kinda funny.

When making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, would you rather stick the knife in the peanut butter first and get peanut butter in the jelly jar or stick the knife in the jelly jar and get jelly in the peanut butter jar?

(Assuming you didn't clean the knife or use two different knives.)

I'd rather have peanut butter in the jelly jar. lol

Re: Which would you rather? (NBR)

  • I'd rather have jelly in the PB jar. I like more jelly than PB on my sandwiches.

    Great, now I want a PB&J sandwich.

  • PB in the jelly FOR SURE :D

  • PB in the jelly jar.  Most PB is shelf stable, jelly isn't.  Sugars from the jelly could make your PB grow mold.
  • I do PB first, but I always clean the knife on the other slice of bread.
  • Neither! I use a spoon for my jelly and a knife for my PB.

I do this, too. lol I'm pretty anal about the two getting mixed, but if I were to get anything in the other jar, I'd rather it be PB in the jelly jar. lol

  • first, i don't like PB so i'm basing this off of what i've been instructing my sisters to do for years...knife in jelly first then PB so i don't have PB in the jelly.  it just ruins the sandwich for me.  *runs off to make a jelly sandwich*

  • Hmmm....I don't really know. I guess PB in the Jelly jar...
  • I'm a jelly first girl. I think it's easier to get the jelly out of the PB jar than the other way around....

This is the first thing I thought of, too.

  • I've never thought about it, but I always put peanut butter on first, so PB in the jelly jar!

  • Jelly in the PB. Since my DH is super allergic to nuts, I can't risk getting any PB in the jelly.

Lol in that case, that's a good reason to use two different knives. =) I babysat a girl who was super allergic to nuts. We had to be very careful with everything. I'd die if I was allergic to nuts. I love them. lol

  • PB 1st, so PB in the jelly jar!
  • I hate peanut butter and it makes me nauseous. :) I'm weird. I know!

  • I use the Smuckers squeezable jelly so I don't have to put the knife in the jelly only in the PB!!

This was my first thought also!

  • I'd rather have peanut butter in the jelly jar. Mostly cuz I refrigerate jelly, not PB- so then there wouldn't be non-refrigerated (slimy?) jelly in the pb. :P

  • i would rather have peanut butter in the jelly jar. and peanut butter sticks pretty good so the likely hood of it even coming off the knife are pretty slim.
  • I always do the peanut butter first but DH like to do the jelly first. It grosses me out to see the jelly sliding around in the peanut butter jar.
