Scotchguard the glider?

OK, my baby should be here by now, so I feel justified posting on this board. :-) Our glider was just delivered (only 6 weeks after they promised us it would arrive...). It's a Best chair in the color "oatmeal", which is basically a light beige. Should I do anything to protect it from the inevitable poop, spit-up, etc.?
