So since Tuesday, I had been having what felt like light period cramps. Totally different from BH and RLP. I called my OBGYN, but he was so busy, surgery and other things. I then freaked out and called him again, but he was still busy, so the receptionist told me if I felt bad to go to L&D and get checked out. I really didn't know what was going on. At first I thought it was normal, but when it didn't go away, and then they started getting stronger, I thought i was going into preterm labor or dialating or something. (On the 1-10 pain scale, I was s 2-3 so not very painful at all.)
Needless to say I was a basketcase, so I just went in. Sooo glad I did! They hooked me up immediately, took my BP, did a quick ultrasound, and monitored to see if I was having contractions, which thank God, I wasn't. After an hour and a half, I was released. I guess they are normal, but they told me to take it easy for a while. I thought I was taking it easy. Anyway, I feel so much better, less anxious, which is good. Just wanted to share.
Has anyone else gone to L&D and found out it was nothing?
Re: I freaked out and went to Labor & Delivery yesterday.
It is now...wasn't at the time! I was so embarrassed but thankfully my OB just took it in stride.
