  • I think I'm UO'd out. :( I can't think of anything.

    I like 3d movies?

I think my dogs are more than just "my pets".

I love the harry potter books, but hate the Harry Potter character....

I know. I'm boring today. I'm sure I'll find inspiration later today.

Do you call your dogs' trips to the vets as "well baby visits?"  Cuz if you do, I think I may have to keep all the green Dora popsicles to myself.

Haha, no, I don't. But, I have caught myself calling them "my babies."  Sometimes, I carry my little one around like a baby, and swaddle him in blankets and speak baby talk to them.

Ok, not really. I have called them "my babies"  and I consider them part of my family. As long as I still have room, they are allowed on the sofas, the bed, etc. Sometimes, just sometimes..... I even get them a burger from McDonalds for breakfast/lunch. The horror!

LOL I have three cats myself...and they are like my family.  I have had the oldest one for 9 years now, and he has been through a lot with me.  They all lay in bed with me, or on the couches, on the arm rest next to me in the recliner.  I treat them well, and they treat me well in return.  :)

I've gotten laughed at with the way I talk to my babies (my dog and cat).  Maybe it is a little nuts, but whatever.  As you've already said, they are a part of our family.  We do allow them both on the furniture (the cat has her own arm of the couch), I don't care.

    Yes

The only time I like them, is if it really is a surprise aka:

    "It's official! We're having a dinosaur! YAY!"

True story: When I was born, my dad's comment was "It's a baby!"

I totally agree. I would not attend one of these if I was invited (no one I know has ever had one). I think its funny that people think everyone is so invested in their pregnancy that they are going to be excited to go to a party to discuss your child's genitalia.

I hear a friend is having a boy or a girl and I say "thats nice!" then immediately go about my day.

My UO- I hate weight posts. I feel like most of them are AW that they haven't gained any weight under the guise of being worried about the issue.

I can see that. But in my own defense (because I like to always be "right!" lmao) I am still really worried about it. It's nice to be reassured when all you've heard it weight loss=bad bad bad.

But as I said, I can see why they would come off as AW.

I want to do a boy/girl reveal party with our friends because I want an excuse to order cupcakes. Mmmm, cupcakes. DH is adamant that we find out the sex (if we can) during our A/S, so I may as well get some yummy treats out of the deal, right?

  • I love babies in two pieces....I love when they're chubby little bellies are out..and my 10 month old WILL be rockin' one at some point this summer! Cool

And I do like gender reveal parties, but only for immediate family...that's who I had at mine, and I wouldn't even classify it as a party so much as family over for coffee and cake...I wouldn't think of having an all out party, jeez between my bridal shower, wedding and baby shower if I had another party in those 2 years I think my family would've killed me! lol  Huh?

My UO: I've been distancing myself from friends who don't discipline their kids or give into their every whim. I get it's their kid(s) to raise how they want, but it isn't worth the headache of explaining to mine why little johnnie can jump on the couch and they can't and no, a king size candy bar is not an acceptable snack. Is it lazy?  Sure. But totally worth it.

  • I may just have thought of one.

Many people can't stand her for things she's done, but I feel bad for Amber Portwood (Teen Mom).  She has bipolar, so I'm sure many of the things that have happen could be attributed to that.

I have bipolar, and can totally relate to how she tries to describe what she's feeling when she's not "off her rocker" when she's in those moments.  I've punched a wall and nearly broke my hand over an empty box of cereal (it's really not a laughing matter).  It's such a horrible disease.  She needs to get the help she needs.  I'm sad she chose jail over rehab as she would have been far better off as far as help goes in a rehab as opposed to a jail cell.

I wish she had someone who would/could advocate for her.  She's clearly not in the right state of mind to make rational decisions for herself (there is no rational thinking with an irrational mind).

I just hope for her sake, as well as her daughters, she IS able to find the right help and get on the right track someday.

  • This may be really unpopular, but here goes.

I don't think you're a single parent if you move in with your parents.  Technically, it's a three parent household, you've got more adult eyes and hands at your disposal than most 2 parent household.

I have a coworker whose husband left her over a year ago, and she moved in with her parents.  We've been told to allow her special accomodations because it's so hard being a single parent.  Seriously?  She gets to leave her kid at home when she goes grocery shopping.  She gets to take showers alone while her mom feeds the kid breakfast.  How exactly is she a "single parent"?

I think AEs and Trolls are funny unless they're really just being mean. I hate when people call them out. I just think "Yeah we all know it's a troll. Let's play with it."

I think Gender Reveal Parties sound like fun as long as you don't go overboard - but that's the case with any party. More parties I say!!! And I'm totally having one.

I think professional maternity pics are awkward and I don't consider the pregnant body to be a beautiful work of art. Cute, maybe - worth paying a photographer to document? No. But...I probably still will because I'm afraid I'll change my mind and it will be too late. I won't show them to people/post them on FB though. They will go in an album and I might, maybe, frame ONE in my house.

I probably won't NIP without a cover, but I will fight for every other mother's right to do so. I don't understand why it's such a big deal to cover up or go to the bathroom, but if that's what baby needs, that's what baby gets.

If you want to be a SAHM, fine, but 1. Do it if you are willing to sacrifice non necessities and 2. Don't complain about your husband working his ass off to support the household. If you don't want to work, don't complain about him picking up the slack.

I can see both sides, but 95% of the weight posts, the ones who don't gain weight are clearly being passive agressive braggers. Like the ones who like to show off they don't get stretch marks. Good for you and your great genes, and that you have several kids with no stretch marks.

Me either! I hate all cartoons for that matter- Disney, Looney Tunes, WB...whatever. When people buy clothing for my daughter that has cartoon characters on it, I stick it in the Good Will bag. And there's nothing worse that adults wearing cartoon clothing- especially Tigger and Tweety Bird sweatshirts- gross.
