Regarding the post below which links to a blog about what pg women never tell you....I thought it was pretty funny and agreed with most of them but I don't remember intentionally keeping any kind of information from my pg friends. I think part of the problem is that I forgot a lot. Also, after birth, you're so exposed and it seems like everyone is in your business that some things like using a water bottle to clean yourself after birth just didn't seem that bad.
I also think there's a flip side which goes along with all the complaints from people who say their friends say - oh you'll never sleep again/have sex again/go out again. I think those are quite dramatic and not true but first time pg women seem like they don't want to listen to the advice so it's really a matter of what should I say and what shouldn't I say - I don't want to scare her.
Overall, I find that I'm pretty open about the whole experience if someone asks me but I'm sensitive to the fact that I don't want to give too much information if the person isn't looking for it.
Re: Opinion on "what no pg woman tells you"...
I LOVED the water bottle after birth.
And the ice pads.
And the numbing spray.

I hear ya! The Tucks pads were a godsend
It does personally give me pleasure to look at someone who has never given birth and laugh when they have all these lofty dreams about how not disgusting the actual process is, and how they just know it will be a great wonderful magical experience that will EXACTLY how they plan. And it is a magical experience, but it's painful and trying and the hardest thing you've ever done.

MESH PANTIES- can I hear an AMEN?
Lol - see I forgot about those too!
