Something out of the norm you listen to: Celtic Monks Chanting. They have chants for Lent, Advent, everyday, etc. It is very very relaxing. I also really love opera.
Favorite genre: I flip between pop punk and dance (I know, wth)
Favorite band: New Found Glory / Daft Punk
Favorite sad song: I don't like sad songs of any kind, but the song "Too Good To Be" by NFG has been hitting close to home lately. Thy lyrics are in my blog.
Favorite happy song: Just Dance by Lady Gaga (no, I don't consider that guilty at all. Love me some Gaga) and One More Time by Daft Punk
Favorite guilty pleasure song: We Are The Champions by Queen. I don't know what my damage is, but I love this song.
Something out of the norm you listen to: Every now and again some random country song sneaks into my Playlist. I like big voiced country babes singing about beating up their cheating boyfriends (like that Carrie Underwood song, Before He Cheats or whatever. Love it).
Favorite genre: Probably singer/songwriter folk-style music

Favorite sad song: It's probably a weird choice, but "Perfect Day" by Lou Reed strikes me as so, so sad. Maybe because it seems like it's a last chance perfect day, if that makes sense.
Favorite happy song: "Something Happened On the Way to Heaven" by Phil Collins (it kills at karaoke and there's a "dog-cam" in the video)! Or "Jump in the Line" by Harry Belafonte.
Favorite guilty pleasure song: "Separate Ways" by Journey
Something out of the norm you listen to: Musicals...Jug Band...and I love rap/hip hop music...

Favorite band: anything Texas country (Wade Bowen, Randy Rogers) also like Brad Paisley and Keith Urban
Favorite sad song: Skin [Sara Beth} by Rascal Flatts. My SIL and brother sang this song to the family and a week later found out she had cancer. So sad
Favorite happy song: can't think of one off the top of my head - anything to dance to gets me happy...
Favorite guilty pleasure song: I'll admit it.....Party in the U.S.A. by Miley Cyrus.... (even though I can't stand her!!)

Have you seen the episode of The Office where Michael's girlfriend breaks up with him and he just sits in his office, sobbing, playing "Goodbye My Lover" over and over again, but he won't pay the i-tunes fee and only gets 5 second snippet of the song?
Also, I love The Chieftains! Their version of "Redemption Songs" with Ziggy Marley is amazing.

Favorite sad song: Lately, Just Breathe by Pearl Jam and also Blue Light by Mazzy Star
Favorite happy song: Escape aka the Pina Colada Song by Rupert Holmes (makes me think of the movie The Sweetest Thing - so funny!)
