1st Trimester

Anyone Else Excited...

To actually look and feel pregnant?? And I dont' mean with bloat, m/s and outta control boobs...I mean actually rocking the baby bump, and feelign the LO kick and move around?

I have always looked at pregnant women and wondered "what does that feel like?" to actually know that you have another life inside you, and how wonderful that must be??

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about my experience now; I have enjoyed no morning sickness, and it has been nice being able to wear my old clothes and save the money, but I am really, really excited to just be that pregnant lady that people smile at when they pass you on the sidewalk...

Re: Anyone Else Excited...

  • To be honest, I'm nervous this time around...but that's my issue.

For my first, I was very excited.  And it's unlike anything you've ever felt before...Smile

  • I got my first stranger "when are you due" comment this morning.

    It was awesome!

I am just looking a lot bigger than most due to the triplets making me get huge so early on.  If this continues people aren't going to believe I am not due until Sept 1 and only having one baby.

  • I am totally ready to rock the bump and feel Baby Pumpkin kick and flip!  I just want that regular reassurance of, "Hi, Mommy!  I'm okay in here!"
  • I can't wait to have a bump.  I want back in my maternity pants!

  • I could do without it.  I would rather just have the kid and bring it home without all the pomp and circumstance that goes with the stomach.
  • I personally can't wait. I'm so excited for people to actually start noticing. I have always wanted, and now envied those woman who look so cute when they're pregnant, and I just can't wait to explore maternity fashion. I am also ready to be done with this trimester...thankfully, I haven't had any food come back up yet but I sure am nauseated most of the time.

THIS!!!!  Maternity pants are the best, aren't they?

  • Totally excited. I'm very far away from it, but can't wait. I'm sure when the time comes I'll be sick of it, but for now I'm enjoying the excitement.

  • I can't wait! I think it will be so amazing to actually be able to feel my lil' pumpkin moving around in there!

**DaniLovesPink**...I noticed we have the same nickname for our little ones! DH thought it was cute since the baby is due in October :-)

  • Big bumps are awesome!  I gained 50 lbs with my first, but I always felt sexy and womanly with my belly :)  Enjoy every second!

  • I can't wait until i look pregnant instead of just looking like i gained weight.  i'm only 5'0 so every pound shows, and i'm still not "out" at work.  the funny thing is i had started a diet just before christmas where i bring in these healthy meals each day.  i did it a few years ago and lost about 10 lbs.  now i'm doing it for the health reasons but supplementing extra food when i get home from work, and i'm so bloated that i feel like i look pregnant.  people at work must think that the diet sucks!

  • I want to go from not showing... to obviously pregnant.  I hate the middle stage where it looks like you just put on some weight in the mid section.

I am definitely looking forward to summer dresses and flip flops though!

  • I'm excited for maternity sundresses & flip-flops, for sure. :)

    this exactly!

  • Yes!! It took forever to have a noticeable bump with my first (I didn't get any comments from strangers until I was nearly 30 weeks and I had him at 37...so only 7 weeks of really looking pregnant! Boo) so I'm hoping this time it comes much earlier! I'm very tall so it takes a while for the baby to need to pop out I guess.

I loved that stage though, feeling the baby move and having a belly...since the day I had DS I've been saying I can't wait to do it again! It's amazing, you'll love it Smile

  • Super excited! Right now I just look like I've gained lots of weight :( Only about 5 pounds fluctuating (sp?) tho. All in my tummy & hips tho! And I've been eating so well. I have to munch frequently to keep the nausea at bay, but 95% of the time, it's healthy snacks.

  • Hahah someone needs to save this post and repost it when we're all in the third tri and complaining of swollen ankles, no sleep and bladder pressure. The reactions would be priceless.
  • I ditto whoever said they want to skip this in between junk!  NOTHING fits properly (regular clothes or maternity clothes) and I just feel sooo frumpy.  I liked my belly for awhile until I couldn't get out of bed without being rolled over by my hubby, hehe.
