Terribly dry skin on my face..what to do?

Any ideas on the dry skin problem. I can't even put make-up on because my forehead just flakes and it looks horrible. I read that a facial might help?

  • You can use a sea salt scrub followed by lotion. I put lotion on my face everyday and use the scrub about 3 times a week. My skin is so dry in the winter time.

  • I have been using tons of moisturizer and lotions and nothing seems to be working. Another lovely side effect of pregnancy. My hands are so dry when I went to wash my hands this morning my skin just absorbed the soap  :(  I am using lotion CONSTANTLY!
  • I used to get really bad dry skin on my face, all the way from my chin to my forehead. I use eurecin (sp?) cream and it works really well! I also use it on ds's legs because he has bad dry skin there too. I really like it.
  • Me too.  It is REALLY bad if it is a day where I stay home and refuse to shower in the morning.  My face is DISGUSTING.

  • I use the Aveeno moisturizer. I'm pretty sure the one I use is for skin prone to breaking out. That stuff has been the best I've ever used. Also, remember to be drinking plenty of water to help keep your skin hydrated.
  • If I use Aveeno in the morning and then put my make-up on it makes my make-up clump. I had to stop using it in the morning. Other than that I love it.

  • I agree with the exfoliating...every day might be too much if your skin is sensitive.  I don't wash my face in the morning anymore and that helps me a lot.  I think skin needs some of it's natural oils.  Also moisturize day and night.

  • Exfoliate, moisture mask, and use a non-comedogenic moisturizer at least three times a day. Frequent and light is better then infrequent and heavy. please, please, please don't just slather on moisturizer without exfoliating at least twice a week, you'll break out and it will be painful.
