  • Were you tracking to know when you ovulated versus your LMP?

  • I've heard early on that babies can measure a week or so small or a week or so ahead. I was told it's nothing to worry about since they have growth spurts. I know it happened to one of my close friends, but later on her LO hit a growth spurt and began measuring ahead.

  • It's possible you ovulated and/or implanted late. Don't stress about it.

  • Were you actually charting? Or just going by your period? If you're just going by your period to estimate your pg, that's why it could be off. the LMP date calculation assumes the woman ovulates on day 14 of a 28-day cycle, but that's not true for all (or most?) women.

If you know the day you ovulated, then I got nothing :)

  • I agree with PP, LMP doesn't mean too much if you have longer cycles....depending on when you got a positive HPT, or if you were actually tracking ovulation, its pretty common to be off on your dates in the beginning.

  • I measured a week small at my first and again at my second so there was healthy progression, we just moved the due date back a week and all is well :)

  • Your period is just an estimate as it uses a guess that you ovulated on day 14.

What matters is when you ovulated and unless you were charting you won't know what day that was. 10 days does seem like a lot as that would mean ovulation or just a late implanation, are your cycles normally 28 days?

  • How does one keep track of her period 'to the extreme?'  I mean, you either do, or don't, right?  Stick out tongue

  • Yes, it does happen a lot. People don't always ovulate exactly when they are "supposed" to. You could have ovulated late, and sometimes it takes a little while for it to actually implant. My LO measured 4 days small and it's perfectly fine.

i could tell you when i had my period in march of 1998 :)
  • This happened to me. I found out I was one week "later" at the u/s. That is why they do them early. I am not worried. My period was screwed up when I went off the pill that I am sure I did not O in a timely manner . Stick out tongue
