So maybe I am in the twilight zone or is it really that hard to just be nice on here? Exactly what is so hard about being pleasant? The world must have dealt some pretty rough hands to some folks on here to be so rude to someone who is trying to make perfectly civilized conversation...

ANYWAYS!

I am in the middle of a job-hunt (tutoring doesn't make enough and the law firms want more spanish than french translation) and I'm submitting resumes like its the last thing I will ever do (i.e. Frantically). Now I'm just waiting. Who knew that waiting could be such a hard thing to do?

Anyone else here hit the doldrums of the ever-feared job hunt?

Stop behaving poorly and it won't merit response.

I've been trying to have perfectly honest and upbeat conversation and have had it ridiculed as "polly-anna BS" and references to wanting to vomit (missing the point? no, I get it just fine). Please explain to me how these are pleasant, friendly reactions? How should I respond? How would you respond?

Really folks, I don't think I am being unreasonable when I ask for the BS to stop. I have been asking nicely (allbeit indirectly) for folks to quit being so unpleasant. Now I am asking directly: Please be respectful.
