I just started my diet as per my dietician and I'm just not feeling satisfied. I was hungry in the middle of the night last night and I just feel "ok" but not "full".
For breakfast (7:15) I am allowed 1 1/2 carbs and protein so I had 3/4 cups of rice krispies, 1/2 cup milk and 1 egg. For snack (10am) I had plain yogurt w/blue berries. Now Its 11:20 and I'm counting down until lunch (one more hour). I have a roast beef and cheese sandwich, orange and celery for lunch.
I just know that by mid day I'm going to be dying again. Should I add an extra protein to my breakfast? Or at my bedtime snack? Last night I had 5 triscuits and a stick of chedder cheese.
Please help! I am not liking having this at all!
Re: GD and never feeling satified or full...
Maybe try oatmeal for breakfast instead of cold cereal - it always seems more filling to me. I usually add like bacon or sausage in my breakfast as well as the egg - no carbs, more protein and more filling
Also, if you aren't feeling full or if you are still feeling famished between say breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner my nutritionist said it's ok to eat 2 snacks in between meals. Like say I eat lunch at 1 but I don't eat dinner till 7 or 8 of course I'm going to be starving by dinner so if I have a smaller snack at like 3 then again at 5 it should space it out so I'm not so hungry and overreat by dinner time... does that make sense?

I might try some more protein - for breakfast I've been adding turkey breakfast sausage some mornings which is only 2-3g of carbs for 3 links I believe. I do a lot of egg white omelettes as well (I also do whole eggs, but don't want to start getting high cholesterol too!)
Peanut butter at night also helped my fasting numbers in the morning and seems more filling than a cheese stick - maybe try that on a piece of pita bread? The ones I buy are joseph's brand and they are 8 or 9 g of carbs for a small pita.
Finally, are you drinking enough water?
I drink water all day!!! all night!! I'll try the PB at night, maybe that will help more than the cheese. I'll also try a meat with the egg as well. thank you.
