1st Trimester

I know cramping is normal...

but what about 24/7 cramps and lower backache?  Ouch.

Re: I know cramping is normal...

  • As long as they are not sharp, you're golden.  mild menstrual-like pulling is the ticket.

but if you're worried, call your doctor.

  • I feel like I'm getting a tattoo inside my ute.  It's like this annoying scratch/tickle more than cramps.
  • I get mild cramps frequently. Some days are worse than others. Sometimes I cramp throughout the day/night, to the point that the discomfort wakes me up. As long as it's not accompanied by spotting, you're fine.
  • It could be a UTI, which is really common, apparently.  My first appt, yesterday, they tested for it, which they always do.

This is what I have too, I asked the Dr. about it when they called to confirm my pregnancy yesterday, she said it was 100% normal and not to worry unless it was severe or accompanied by bleeding.

  • I have been getting cramps as well.  I called my OB and she said as long as there isn't any bleeding associated with them she isn't worried.  She also said they usually feel like you are getting your period, so the severity is associated to what is your normal (if that makes sense).

  • I had constant mild cramping (similar to period cramps) and constant lower back ache from 3 weeks along until 6 1/2 weeks. I wouldn't worry about any mild aches - just your uterus growing and things shifting around!
