I mentioned this once before, but I've been trying to research new laser printers for a few individual stations here at work. Well, our Exec Dir mentioned the OSHA concerns w/ laser printers and wanted that to be a factor.
Whoot, right?! Well, maybe if there was more information out there. You google, and you find all the 2007 articles when they made the first discoveries about laser printers and internal air quality, and then, HP gives a small list of certain printers that are good, but not a complete one, and that's it.
My complaint: I don't have time to do massive amounts of research on such topics!!! It's great that there was a bunch of hoopla with the uncovering of the problem in 2007, but since then, apparently nothing has been done to make the consumer aware or give them data for them to make informed choices. Drives me nuts!
Anyone have any idea of how/where to find out about these issues and which models are best/worst?
Re: A complaint about trying to be EF & a plea for knowledge
I'm no help, sorry. But I felt bad because your post had like 17 views and no responses.
The papa needs to feel the love, right?
She does, she does!!
If you can wait ten weeks, I can try to bully one of my students into using "what is the most eco-friendly printer option and why?" as their research question for their final paper.
But I can't guarantee a quality answer.

LOL Tempting, but I probably can't wait the 10 weeks. Maybe ask them which granting organizations are most likely to fund a Kids nutrition program in papagena-town, USA? That I have a slightly larger time frame on.
