I am almost 17 weeks and am up about 8-9 pounds. I am getting close to changing the number in the tens place which I hate- although I know it is normal!
It depends on so many factors, last time I think I had gained a pound. This time at 14 weeks I have gained maybe a pound. As long as you have a healthy diet and your doctor isn't concerned I wouldn't worry.
I'm 16 weeks and have gained about 2kg (which is about 4lbs or so). I feel kind of like a square, but I am trying to embrace the whole weight gain concept!!
about 3 pounds. I would say anything from 0 to 12 is what I have heard, although as you can see above it is even more diverse in terms of what others have experienced. As long as your doctor is happy with your weight gain, then you should be fine.
I have heard that in the first trimester, your body produces an extra 4-5 lbs of just extra blood, so 8-10 by 17 weeks sounds perfect! I think I gained about 6 lbs by 20 weeks last time and this time, I am still down. But, for some reason my body doesn't seem to know what it is supposed to do during pg. I wish I had gained 8-10 lbs by 17 weeks and had a cute little bump. Enjoy it - you will be surprised how quickly it comes off after your little cutie is born:)
Don't worry, I'm right there with you! I weighed myself this morning, (as I do almost every morning!) and noted that I'm up 8-9lbs so far. The thought of hitting that 10lb mark is kind of unsettling for me, even though I KNOW it's normal. I've just always been so weight conscious, in shape, etc...so it's weird to see the numbers rising... ah, ohwell! We will lose it QUICKLY after our LO's arrive, right?
I hear ya. It hard to see that number keep going up even if it is normal. I was up 7 lbs at the 17 week mark. I'm not looking forward to getting on the scale this week.

I haven't gained any weight and I started out in the normal range (5'6", 137 lbs). My Dr. hasn't said anything yet, but I guess I need to gain something soon.
I've already gained 6lbs. 7 on a heavy day. The general standard is 3-5lbs the first trimester is ok, and 1-2 lbs per week in the 2nd trimester. And yea a lot of weight isn't fat.
Totally normal. I was up about 8lbs at 17wks and up 10lbs at 20wks. Don't sweat it.
Same - I was lower-normal weight before I was pg and I'm up to almost 10 lbs at 20 weeks. I gained the most between 16-20 weeks. No worries, according to my midwife I'm underweight.

I haven't gained any yet, though you wouldn't know it looking at my belly. With the twins, I think I gained 3 lbs at 20 weeks, but ended up gaining 50lbs for the pregnancy. That being said, I'm sure I'll gain plenty.
Re: how much have/did you gain at 17 or so weeks?
8-9 lbs by 17 weeks is great! My first pregnancy I was up at least 20.
Fortunately I have only gained 5 so far this time. Ive learned my lesson
