TTC After a Loss

I have a question (clomid v. injections), probably irrational

OK, here we go...

With Clomid I had s/e from the second day I took it all the way through the cycle.

With injections I don't feel any different. I poke myself every night and I don't feel any different at all. No cramps, no twinges, no upset stomach, nothing.

Now I am worried about going in on Thursday and them telling me that my follicles have not grown at all or are tiny.

Irrational fear right?

  • I don't think the injects give you s/e's.  Check with momagain tomorrow, but I'm almost positive she doesn't have any symptoms with them.  You'll be great on Thursday - good luck!

  • My BFF had every symptom known to mankind on clomid. When she did her injectibles she felt the same way. I'm pretty sure the injectibles have much less s/e than clomid.
  • I don't know much about the injections, so I can't be of much help. All I can say is that you're going to have some great follies when you go in....I just know it!

  • My RE said not to expect s/e like with Clomid, he says it's because the FSH is natural to our bodies, unlike the Clomid.  And I'm not having any s/e either, although I didn't have very many with Clomid, either. ;)

Good to know it is normal. I thought I was doing something wrong

  • This was my first cycle with injections after 5 with clomid. The only s/e I had while on the injections was a few hard twinges for just a tiny bit around days 9-11. I like to believe they were my follies growing. I did t have any gassiness or bloating like I did on clomid.

  • I have not taken Clomid but used Gonal-F injectables with my last IUI and I did not have any s/e.

    GOOD LUCK!
